| Objective / Background of its Formation : | 1. To promote interest in and better understanding of the profession of medical laboratory sciences in Hong Kong
2. To provide a platform for discussion of problems in the different disciplines of the profession.
3. To ensure that holders of Institute of Biomedical Sciences qualifications are adequately represented in any discussion relating to salary, grading, training, and government registration of medical laboratory workers in Hong Kong.
4. To organise social functions for its members.
